COMMERCE – East Texas A&M University golfers Marie Baertz and Jace Chaney are this week's Dixie Turman State Farm Agency Student-Athletes of the Week. 

Baertz (Luxembourg) finished third at The Lady Clerico last week with a scoring total of 220 over three rounds as the Lions took fourth in the season-opening tournament. This week, the Lion women are in Columbia, Missouri, for the Johnie Imes Invitational. 

Chaney (Ardmore, Okla.) made her Lion debut last week at the Sandestin Collegiate, tying for seventh place with a total of 207. The Lion men placed 13th in the tournament and return to the course on Sunday at the Argent Financial Classic in Choudrant, Louisiana.  

The Dixie Turman State Farm Agency Student-Athletes of the Week is awarded by Lion Athletics each week during the academic year in partnership with Dixie Turman State Farm Agency.
