Samuel Pepe are this week's Dixie Turman State Farm Agency Student-Athletes of the Week.
Mullaney (Decatur) captained the Lions to a 3-0 weekend in New York with wins over UAB, Rider, and St. John's. She was also named to the all-tournament team, having totaled 25 kills, 78 set assists, three serve aces, 23 digs, eight total blocks, three solo blocks over the three wins. The Lion volleyball team heads south to San Antonio for the Roadrunner Classic this weekend, facing IU Indianapolis, UTSA, and Gonzaga.
Pepe (Hillsboro) finished 14
th with a time of 16:21.4 in the 5,000 meter race at the John McKenzie Invitational in the Lions' season opener. East Texas A&M finished fourth as a team and takes part in the Gerald Richey Invitational in Fort Worth this Friday.
