East Texas A&M University Athletics

Finished her A&M-Commerce career as the record holder in the outdoor 10,000m and the indoor 3000m and 5000m... Made the All-LSC team four times in her career and was on the Academic All-LSC team three times, including being named Female Academic Runner of the Year as a senior.

2017 (Indoor): Competed at the Gorilla Classic (2/10) in the 5000m.

2016 (Cross Country): Named to the All-Conference Team... Named LSC Female Academic Runner of the Year and to the Cross Country All-Academic team... Competed in three meets as a senior… Placed 24th at the MSSU Stampede University Open (9/17) in the 5K.  Placed sixth in the 6K at the LSC Championships (10/22)… Also competed in the NCAA Division II South Central Region Championships (11/5).

2016 (Outdoor): Named to the All-Conference Team... Academic All-LSC... Competed in four meets… Finished in first place in the 5K at the ASU David Noble Relays with a season-best time of 18:12.05 (4/9)… Also finished first in the 10K at the East Texas Invitational (4/16)… Broke her own school record in the 10K at the Lone Star Conference Championships (5/5), finishing in second with a time of 36:44.65… She also placed second in the 5K at the same meet.
 
2016 (Indoor): Academic All-LSC... Competed in two meets… Set a career-best in the 5K with a time of 18:33.15 at the Pittsburg Invitational (1/29), breaking her own A&M-Commerce record set in 2015… Finished fourth in the 5K at the Lone Star Conference Championships (2/20)… Finished in fifth in the 3K at the same meet.
 
2015 (Cross Country): Named to the All-Conference Team... Academic All-LSC... Competed in five meets… Finished in first place in the 5K at the Lois Davis Invitational (9/11)… Set a career-best time in the 5K at the Oklahoma Baptist University Invitational (10/10) with a time of 18:37.8… Finished second in the Lone Star Conference Championships (10/26) in the 6K in a career-best 22:45.8… That qualified her for the NCAA Division II South Central Region Championships, where she finished 38th.

2015 (Outdoor): Appeared in five meets for the Lions, competing in the 800 and 1500-meters and the 5 and 10K runs ... Accrued five top-five finishes over the course of the season, headlined by a first place finish in the 5K run at the East Texas Dual with a time of 18:45.29 (3/21) ... Ran a career best time in the 800-meters at the Joe Gillespie Tri Meet (4/11) with a time of 2:33.23, finishing fifth ... Hit a personal best time of 4:58.09 in the 1500-meters at the East Texas Dual, finishing third overall.

2015 (Indoor): Competed in three meets for the Lions ... Finished the season with the team's best times in both the 3K and the 5K ... Set a personal best time in the one-mile run with a time of 5:41.29 at the MSSU Lion Invitational (2/6) ...Ran a personal best time of 10:51.45 in the 3k at the LSC Championships (3/1), finishing 11th ... This broke the A&M-Commerce record. Finished fourth overall at the MSSU Lion Open in the 5K, clocking a time of 18:48.66.

2014 (Cross Country) - Named to the All-Conference Team... Competed in two meets for the Lions ... Earned All-Conference honors by virtue of her 13th place finish at the Lone Star Conference Meet in the 6K… Placed first among her teammates in both meets in which she appeared ... Ran ninth overall at the ECU Tiger Chase (10/25)

2014 (Outdoor): Finished second at the LSC Championships (5/1) in the 10K with a time of 37:13.33 ... The mark set a new school record at the time ... Finished second in the 5K at the East Texas Invitational (4/19), running a 17:59.82 ... Ran a 38:51.09 at the ASU David Noble Relays (4/5) to finish second in the 10K ... Recorded a third-place finish in the 5K at the Cactus Cup (3/22) after running a time of 18:44.87.

2014 (Indoor): Competed at the OBU Invitational (2/15) and the LSC Championships (3/1) for A&M-Commerce ... Finished third in the 5K at the OBU Invitational with an 18:37.86 ... Finished 13th in the 10K in the same meet ... Recorded a 12th place finish in the 5K and a 20th place finish in the 3K at the LSC Championships.

2013 (Cross Country): Saw action in five meets for the Lions ... Posted top-five finishes at the Commondor Classic (9/14) and the Lois Davis Invitational (10/12)… Recorded a season best time in the 5K at the Commondor Classic with a time of 19:21.5 ... Ran a season best time in the 6k at the LSC Championships with a time of 23:37.0. 

Prior to A&M-Commerce: Four-time letter winner in cross country and track at Pampa ... Two-time letter winner in soccer as a midfielder… First Team All-State selection as a senior after earning Second Team honors as a junior ... Placed second at the 3A state meet as a senior, the best-ever finish for a Pampa runner ... Set school record on the 1.6 mile course… Competed in the distance events in track and field, posting personal-bests of 2:32 in the 800, 5:42 in the 1600 and 11:41 in the 3200-meter runs ... Two-time All-Academic Team selection ... Class salutatorian, graduating second in her class of nearly 200 students ... National Honor Society member ... Also attended Clarendon College from 2011-13 and earned her associates of art degree as a high school senior.
 
Personal: Born November 2, 1994… Daughter of Jeff and Valerie Halverson. Majored in Elementary Education, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2016. Is currently in the master’s program.
