Jacob Krolick was named assistant track & field and assistant cross country coach on Sept. 30, 2015. His primary coaching responsibilities are to coach the middle distance and long distance runners.
During the 2017 outdoor season, the program enjoyed one of its most successful seasons in program history. The men's team was crowned the LSC Champions after finishing first at the LSC Championships. The women's team also had a strong finish, placing third. 31 Lions were named to the All-Conference Team, including 14 male and six female runners. Brandi Stalder won the 10,000m run and Steeven Martinez finished second in the 3000m steeplechase. Austin Yaeger finished second in the 1500m and Turner Pool finished third in the 10,000m. Florian Obst was named Field Athlete of the Year as a first-place finisher in the decathlon. Two male records and four female records were broken in the running events during the season.

During the 2016 cross country season, the Lion men finished in a school record-tying second place and the women finished seventh at the LSC Championships. Runners Turner Pool, Edwin Aparicio and Terra Truitt were named to the All-Conference team. Pool and Truitt were also named the LSC Academic Athletes of the Year and both won Cross Country Runner of the Week during the season. The men finished 20th and the women finished 26th at the South Central Regionals.

During the 2016 indoor season, the Lion men won their second consecutive Indoor Championship. Ricky Romero won a national title in the 800m in school record time at the NCAA Championships. He was named an All-American in addition to an All-Region and All-Conference selection. Romero was joined as an All-American by Justin Pearson in the heptathlon. Overall, the Indoor team finished in eighth place at the NCAA tournament, their highest finish in school history.

During the 2016 outdoor season, the Lion men finished in third place and the women finished in fourth place at the LSC Championships. Runner Luis Romero received an All-Conference nod along with runners Ashley Bassett and Terra Truitt. Runners Ashley Bassett, Kamryn McKee, Luis Romero and the men’s 4x100m relay team all received All-American honors.

During the 2015 cross country season, both the men’s and women’s teams finished in third place at the LSC Championships. Luis Romero, Terra Truitt, Mary Hammonds and Tori Lenz were all named to the All-Conference Team. Truitt and Turner Pool were also named to the All-Academic Team. Luis Romero was named to the All-Region Team as the men’s team took 16th and the women’s team finished 18th at the South Central Regionals.
Coach Krolick is a graduate of Edinboro University (Pa.) in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Math Education. He competed in undergrad and made it to multiple Cross Country National meets and made the All-Academic team three times. Post undergrad, Krolick completed graduate work at Adams State, earning a Master’s in Athletic Coaching. Additionally, Krolick also competed in Cross Country and Track and Field for one year, making the NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the 10k.

Krolick began his coaching career in the Fall of 2012 as a student assistant at Adams State for Men and Women Cross Country, where the men won the NCAA DII National Cross Country Championship and the women finished third. Returning to his undergrad, Krolick served as a volunteer assistant in 2013-2014 recording another successful year with the Women’s team winning the Atlantic Regional. In the NCAA DII nationals that year, the men’s team finished ninth and the women finished thirteenth. Krolick then became the Assistant Coach at Pfeiffer University in 2014-2015, where every runner set PR’s 30-60 seconds in events over 5km. Coach Krolick continues to train to qualify for the US Olympic Marathon Team trials. He is currently 25 seconds off of the Olympic B Standard.
His sister, Sarah Krolick, who was a three-time All-American Cross Country/Track athlete at Edinboro University (Pa.), is currently a graduate assistant coach at Southeastern University in Florida.
