Doug Caison joins the A&M-Commerce staff as a full time volunteer assistant coach for the 2016 season after volunteering part –time in the fall of 2015.

In addition to coaching travel ball, Caison brings a unique perspective of life experience to the team. He has served over twenty years in the fire service with the last eight years as City of Greenville Fire Chief. Caison was a member of Texas Task Force I & II Search and Rescue Teams, worked as a police officer, served in an elite military unit and trained aspiring candidates for U.S. Military Special Operations.

Caison will oversee conditioning for the team and assist in all other facets of the program.

Caison and his wife Surrey have one daughter, Mia.
