Gabby Scott joined the Lion coaching staff in June 2017. She began her coaching career at Paris Junior College during the 2016-17 season as an assistant coach under head coach Gonzalo Garza.

Scott returns to the Texas A&M-Commerce family after playing her junior and senior seasons for the Lions under head coach Jason Burton. She was a two-time All-Lone Star Conference Honorable Mention selection and led the team in scoring during the 2014-15 season. During the 2014-15 season, Scott was instrumental in guiding the Lions to a playoff victory in the LSC Championship tournament, their first playoff win since 2007. The following season, Scott helped the team achieve its first winning record since 2009. A sharp shooter, Scott ranks seventh in Lion history in three-point percentage and ninth in three-pointers made.

Prior to A&M-Commerce, Scott played at Prairie View A&M University and helped lead the team to a SWAC Championship and a trip to the NCAA Division I Tournament.       Â

Scott graduated with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from A&M-Commerce in 2015 and her MBA in Business Administration in 2016.
