Lacey Escamilla

Lacey Escamilla was another new addition to the woman’s basketball program during the 2015-16 season.

During the 2016-17 season, Escamilla helped the Lions overcome a multitude of challenges to finish the season 20-9, the second best record in school history.  

During her two seasons as assistant coach, the team has had eight All-Lone Star Conference selections, two All-Defensive Team selections, the Freshman of the Year, two conference tournament appearances and a winning percentage of .621. The team finished 16-13 in the 2015-16 season.

She is an Oxnard, Calif. native and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Ventura Junior College in 2010 and received a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Fresno State in 2013. As a player, Lacey was a part of the 2010 State Championship team at Ventura. She also was a team manager from 2011-2015 for women’s basketball at Fresno State and also an administrative assistant for women’s basketball at Fresno State in 2015.
