Olivia Cicci joined the Lion Athletic family in May 2018 as an assistant coach for the Women’s Basketball team. She comes to A&M-Commerce after serving as a graduate assistant coach at Austin College.
During the 2017-18 season, Cicci helped coach the team to a 20-6 record, including a program record 13 conference wins and the team earned a share of the conference regular season championship. She also assisted in coaching Bryce Frank, a D3 Hoops Fourth-Team All-American, a WBCA Honorable Mention All-American, a D3 Hoops First Team All-Region selection and the SCAC Co-Player of the Year. Cicci also helped coach Meghan Lewis, the SCAC Defensive Player of the Year and had a hand in coaching four other SCAC All-Conference players.
During her playing career for the Roos, Cicci appeared in 50 games, starting six. She shot 41 percent from 3-point range over the course of her career, and led the SCAC in 3-point shooting percentage in the regular season during her senior year, shooting 52 percent. Cicci was a two time All-SCAC sportsmanship honoree.
Cicci earned a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2018, and graduate with Magna Cum Laude Honors with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Athletic Communications in 2017 at Austin College.
Cicci played four years of varsity basketball at Santa Fe Prep in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is originally from Pittsburgh, Pa.
