WHY A&M-COMMERCE? “I chose A&M-Commerce because of how family oriented the basketball program is. Following that, Coach Burton is a great head coach. He’s passionate, understanding, and willing to win. I trust that I would be in a not only winning program, but a program I can say I’ve improved individually on and off the floor. Lastly, Commerce is a great place to continue not only my basketball career but academically as well.” 
 
COACH BURTON’S THOUGHTS: “Nya brings more versatility to the backcourt as someone who can play both the point guard and wing positions. She is a three-level scorer with three years to play! And she is someone who can really guard in the full court like we want to guard and her length at the guard spot is an area we want to continue to bring to our defense.”
