East Texas A&M University Athletics

Ashley Rocke is the original founder and head coach of the Lion Dance Team.  She was given the task of establishing the first dance team within Lion Athletics in East Texas A&M history, beginning with the 2012-13 season.

Rocke is a 1993 graduate of the University of North Texas and founding president of the UNT chapter of Chi Tau Epsilon.

She worked for the NBA Dallas Mavericks Dancers from 2000-03 as the assistant director, helping with events and appearances beyond the court.   Ashley spent 20 years within the hair industry traveling worldwide as a choreographer and assistant for Toni & Guy Creative Releases and TIGI haircare, under the direction of Esa Live event management.  Along with coaching, she works individually with dancers to help them prepare for high school teams in the Dallas area.  Ashley currently works at Dance Industry Performing Arts Center in Plano as well as being an educator at Lululemon.  

She is a proud mom of one daughter, Zoe who currently lives in San Francisco.
