Justin Gee joined the East Texas A&M as an assistant athletic trainer in July 2026. He serves as the primary contact for the soccer and softball programs.

Gee oversees all facets of daily sports medicine operations for his teams—directing evidence-based injury prevention strategies, acute trauma and emergency management, advanced progressive rehabilitation protocols, and interprofessional care coordination alongside team physicians, clinical specialists, and coaching staff.

Prior to arriving in Commerce, Gee cultivated a dynamic, high-level clinical foundation across collegiate, elite, and private sports medicine settings. As a contracted Certified Athletic Trainer with Flex Performance in California, he provided comprehensive medical coverage for high-caliber organizations and premier events, including the Pioneer Baseball League, NorCal Premier Soccer League, and UC Davis Football Camps.

His emergency and acute care expertise is further underscored by his clinical work at the World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship in Las Vegas, as well as secondary-school athletic training coverage at Jesuit High School and Snow Canyon High School.

Gee earned his Master of Athletic Training (MAT) from Utah Tech. During his graduate studies, he completed immersive clinical rotations with the Trailblazers’ Division I Women’s Soccer and Men’s Basketball programs, completed a dedicated year-long clinical focus alongside Utah Tech’s physical therapy team, and mentored peers within the UT Athletic Training Student Clinic.

A native of Sacramento, California, Gee earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Care from California State, Sacramento, complemented by an intensive one-year clinical internship supporting all men’s and women’s athletic programs at Sacramento City College.

A highly skilled clinician, Gee holds advanced clinical training and certifications in Active Release Technique (ART), Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), advanced manual therapy techniques, and orthopedic casting.
