Mercedes Eisworth joined the East Texas A&M athletic department as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in July 2023.
Eisworth came to Commerce after spending the previous four years at Iowa State, most recently as the women's basketball student athletic trainer. She performed and assisted with injury evaluations and rehabilitation programs for various injuries. She also assisted in serving as the host student athletic trainer for the first two rounds of the 2022 Division I Women's Basketball NCAA Tournament.
While at Iowa State she worked with the volleyball, men’s basketball, wresting, and football programs. Eisworth was also able to experience working with the local Family Physicians Clinic and the Emergency Room department in Ames. Her volunteer works includes the Iowa High School State wrestling championships, Big XII Track & Field meet, as well as camps at Iowa State.
Eisworth began her time in sports medicine at Trinity Valley Community College. She spent two seasons with the football team and one with the men's and women's basketball programs.
She received her B.S and M.A.T degrees in athletic training at Iowa State and received her A.A degree from Trinity Valley CC. Eisworth's certifications include the following: BOC certified athletic trainer, Texas licensed athletic trainer, CPR/AED for professional rescuers certified, SFDN1 dry needling certified, and certified in QPR Suicide Prevention Training.
She married Greg Eisworth II in July 2025.
