The 2013-14 A&M-Commerce athletic season was filled with a handful of incredible moments, achievements and career milestones. Throughout the summer Lion Athletics will take a look back at the top 15 moments of the year, voted on by athletic administrators and local media members.Â
After an extended hiatus from the indoor circuit, the Lion track and field team made its return to indoors in the spring of 2014 under head coach
Tom Dibbern at the Missouri Southern Invitational.

Three indoor meets preceded the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships, where both the Lion men and women managed to haul in top-five finishes. The men finished just two points out of second place, and getting conference titles from
Anthony Harris (long jump) and
Luis Romero (1,600-meter run).

Meanwhile, Ashlely Harris pulled in a conference title for the Lion women in the weight throw, helping them to a fifth-place finish at the meet.

Following the LSC championships, the Lions sent five athletes to Winston-Salem, N.C., for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, including
Brikel Bailey (800-meter run) on the women's side and
Anthony Harris (long jump),
Dorian McCradic (1,600-meter run),
Luis Romero (1,600-meter run) and
Matt Rich (heptathalon).Â
