Host Southern Arkansas defeated
Texas A&M University-Commerce, 27-25, 23-25, 25-22, 28-26 to
snap a four-match winning streak for the Lions'
volleyball team on Monday night in Magnolia, Ark.

(8-10) sophomore Rachel Robertson

and hit .419 in the loss for the Lions.
Three Lions had double-digit digs
including sophomore Morgan Moeller, who had a
team-best 14, freshman Jordan Neal and senior
Naomi Mays added 13 and 11, respectively. As a
team, the Lions had seven blocks, including five block solos.
Southern Arkansas (11-8) managed to out hit the Lions by a.185 to
.139 margin in the win. Rebecca Pate had a double double for the
Lady Muleriders with a match-best 20 digs and a team-best 12
kills.
Also with double-digit kills for
SAU were Lindsey Wilcox and Jordan White, who had 11 and 10 kills,
respectively.
The Lions return to Lone Star Conference play on Thursday night
when they travel to Central Oklahoma at 7 p.m. in Edmond,
Oklahoma.
