In a game that featured one lead change the lions (6-2) used a 48 point first half outburst and stifling defence that only surrendered 22 points to the Greyhounds (3-5) to cruise to a 94-67 victory.
Five players in double figures, the lions received balanced scoring from Brian Singleton (17), Desmond King (16), Tyris Dowell (15), Stefon Carson (13) and Brad Hambrick (11). It was also a team effort crashing the boards as the Lions outpaced the Grayhounds 35 total rebounds to 27. Stefon Carson also led A&M Commerce in assists with 8 and Lion fans welcomed back Andrew Davis who played 12 solid minutes. Significant stat earners for Eastern New Mexico were Max Carrier who earned a double double and Aaron Edwards who led the team in scoring with 12 points.
The Texas A&M University-Commerce men's basketball team will return to action on Thursday December 16th in the Fieldhouse against the Tigers of Paul Quinn College.
