While the final score had a two point differential, it was not indicative of the game's flow.  The Lions led by as many points as twelve, however, the Riverhawks kept the game close with timely scoring. 

The teams were nearly even in field goal and three point percentage, 45% and 38% for the Lions and 46% and 33% for the Riverhawks, however, the Lions maintained the edge at the free-throw line, hitting 18 of 21 for 85% while Northeastern State was 10 of 15 for 66%.

Brad Hambrick scored 21 points to lead the Lions in scoring; Desmond King and Preston Whitley both added 13 apiece.  Andrew Davis had a breakout night with nine points and eight rebounds, while Stefon Carson added a strong performance with nine points and five assists, the team high.
