The Lions coming off only their second home loss of the season less than 48 hours jumped out of the gates with vengeance thanks to Stefon Carson, who knocked down a pair of treys and layup during the decisive run. Carson finished with 16 points, six boards and five assists.
Texas A&M-Commerce (17-8, 7-4 SLC North) didn't allow a point until the 12:03 mark of the first half. The Lions shot 52 percent in the first 20 minutes of the contest, while Savage Storm was held to a dreadful shooting percentage of 25. Texas A&M-Commerce held a commanding 42-19 halftime lead.
The Lions connected for 12 three-pointers including five from Brad Hambrick, who tallied a game-high 17 points. He was joined by Carson's 16 points, Desmond King with 15 and Andrew Davis recorded 10. It was Texas A&M-Commerce's fifth game in the last 10 days.
Chris Rousell and Urald King each had 17 points to lead Southeastern Oklahoma (3-22, 2-9 SLC North).
Texas A&M-Commerce closes out the regular season at the Field House Saturday February 26 for a 7 p.m. tip off against East Central. It will be the last action for the Lions until the Lone Star Conference Tournament, which begins on March 3rd. Tickets can be purchased at the Athletic Fieldhouse.
