A&M-Commerce won seven of the first eight points and set themselves up to control the set and forced Ouachita Baptist to play catch-up. OBU eventually cut the lead to one after a three point run but the Lions answered with four straight to get lead back to five at 18-13. A kill by Bond closed the first set win for the Lions at 25-16.
The two sides came out evenly in set two, splitting the first ten points. No team could build a lead and gain separation throughout the set. The Lions had set point at 24-22 but the Tigers scored three straight to get their own set point. The Lions then answered to tie the set at 25 and scored three of the next four to take set two, 28-26.
Set number three started like set two with teams going back and forth early. The Tigers got a 12-9 lead off a Lion attack error. A&M-Commerce then came back and eventually tied the set at 16. The Lions went on to win nine of the next thirteen points to complete the sweep, 25-20.
