Lions to Close Out 2014 Calendar Year with Reddies

Commerce, Texas – The A&M-Commerce men's basketball team is set to close out the 2014 calendar year Friday at 7 p.m. in The Field House against Henderson State as the Lions continue to ride their current six-game winning streak.

Fast-break Points About A&M-Commerce
- The Lions are on a six game win streak highlighted back-to-back wins over top 25 opponents with a 68-67 win over No. 11 Cal.-Baptist and a 74-64 win over No. 17 Dixie State in the CBU Thanksgiving Classic ... In their last game the Lions avenged a loss to Dallas with a 77-55 victory in The Field House.
- Darrell Williams has grabbed 15 plus rebounds in four games this season -- 15 at Ouachita Baptist,17 vs. Cal. Baptist and 15 vs. Southern Arkansas ... He tallied the highest rebounding game in the LSC with 20 in the last DBU game.
- A&M-Commerce fell 104-101 at Dallas Baptist in overtime ... The Lions were 50-of-65 from the free throw line ... Both were school records while the 50 makes tied the highest mark in the LSC ... LaDon Carnegie was 18-of-23 setting a new school record for makes and attempts.
- The Lions are the NCAA's leader in free throws made and third in attempts ... They are also first in defensive rebounds per game, sixth rebound margin and fifth in total rebounds.
- Carnegie also tallied a career-high 37 points ... Anthony Adams and Craig Fofang recorded their first double-double ... Adams had 20 points and 10 assists, while Fofang scored 11 points and had 10 rebounds.
-A&M-Commerce has had an LSC Player of the Week in each of the first four weeks of the season ... Darrell Williams has won one offensive POTW and two straight defensive POTW awards ... LaDon Carnegie was named offensive of POTW once.
- Carnegie is ranked second in scoring in the LSC, while Williams leads the league in rebounds and is the only player averaging a double-double ... Williams is ranked fourth in the NCAA in double-doubles with six ... The same number as the 2013-14 Lions ... Williams is also fourth in the NCAA in rebounds per game and total rebounds while ranked sixth in defensive rebounds.
- The Lions are coached by Sam Walker ... Walker is in his 15th season with A&M-Commerce and is the school's all-time winningest coach with an overall of 233-174 ... He has complied a 94-88 record in LSC games.

- The Lions and Reddies have met 22 times with A&M-Commerce holding a 18-8 advantage in a series dating back to the 1939-40 season.

- Henderson State enters the game at 6-4 overall coming off of a 92-83 loss at Harding ... Before that the Reddies won four games in a row, 83-69, over Lane College ,63-51 over Arkansas at Monticello, 69-63, over Arkasas Tech and 113-55 win over Champions Baptist before suffering their latest loss.
- Reggie Murphy leads the Reddies with 14.4 ppg, while shooting 61.0 percent and rebounds with 7.0 rpg ... Kevin Kozan averages 14.7 ppg ... Aaron Cooper averages 3.1 assists per game.
