Box Score ARKADELPHIA, ARKANSAS- The A&M-Commerce Volleyball team dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker on Tuesday to Ouachita Baptist, as the Lions were out blocked six blocks compared to 10 blocks by the Tigers.

The Lions jumped ahead in the first set taking a 5-1 lead. Ouachita Baptist went on a 6-0 run following a kill by Abby Pickett giving the Tigers a 19-16 lead. OBS ended the set scoring 12 of the last 14 points winning the set 25-18.

A&M-Commerce again jumped on top of the Tigers early taking a 7-3 lead. Kelley Ballard sparked a 6-0 run for the Tigers with a kill making the score 22-21 Lions.
Amy Davault slammed a door on any comeback chances as the Lions took the second set 25-22.

With the match tied 21-21 in the third set
Veronika Baric came up big on back-to-back plays with a kill and a block assist that gave the Lions a 23-21 lead. However, the Tigers went on a 4-0 run to end the match.

Davault sparked the Lions offence in the fourth set picking up three kills of the first four points as A&M-Commerce took a 7-3 lead. The Lions would not look back forcing a fifth set with a 25-19 win.

As the teams switched sides in the fifth set the Lions trailed Ouachita Baptist 8-6. A&M-Commerce went on a 4-0 run following a Davault kill that gave the Lions an 11-10 lead. The Lions found themselves trailing 15-14 when
Veronika Baric kept the match alive with a huge kill tying the set 15-15. The Tigers would go on to take the set, and match following back-to back kills by Tara Wait and Ballard.

Courtney Tate had a team-high 53 assists, Davault picked up her third consecutive double-double with a game-high 25 kills and a team-high 25 digs. Baric Contributed with 13 kills and a team-high four blocks.

A&M-Commerce has two Lone Star Conference matches this weekend. The first is on Friday, September 19 against Cameron University at 5 p.m. Midwestern State comes to the Lions' Fieldhouse on Saturday, September 20 at 7 p.m.
