Canyon, Texas – The A&M-Commerce men's basketball team carries a five-game winning streak out west to Buffalo country as the Lions take on West Texas A&M in a Lone Star Conference Saturday showdown.

- The Lions are coming off of a 91-67 win against Eastern New Mexico ... During its current five-game winning streak the Lions have beaten opponents by an average margin of 25 points ... During the last three games the margin increases to 28.6 points.
-  Darrell Williams has recorded 20 plus points and a double-double in five of the last six games ... He leads the LSC with 12 doubles, in scoring 18.1 points per game, rebounds 12. 5 rebounds per game -- only player averaging a double-double.

-A&M-Commerce has had an LSC Player of the Week in each of the first four weeks of the season ... Darrell Williams has won one offensive POTW and two straight defensive POTW awards ... LaDon Carnegie was named offensive of POTW once ... Williams followed with his second offensive player of the week on January 12.
-  Williams is ranked second in the NCAA in double-doubles with 12 ... Williams is also third in the NCAA in total rebounds, fourth in rebounds per game, fifth in offensive rebounds per game and seventh in defensive rebounds per game   ... LaDon Carnegie is second in the LSC in scoring at 16.9 ppgs.
- The Lions are coached by Sam Walker ... Walker is in his 15th season with A&M-Commerce and is the school's all-time winningest coach with an overall of 239-175 ... He has complied a 97-89 record in LSC games.
 
A&M-Commerce vs. West Texas A&M:  The Series
- The Lions and Buffs have met 81 times prior to Saturday's game with West Texas A&M holding a 51-30 advantage in the series and a 26-14 lead in LSC games ... WT is the seventh most played opponent in program history.
- The Lions swept the two meetings in the 2013-14 season, 93-84 in Commerce and 83-82  in Canyon ... The wins snapped a six-game slide to WT.
- Under head coach Sam Walker the Lions are 8-17 against WT and 3-8 in road games in Canyon.
 
About the Buffs
-  West Texas A&M enters at 11-7 overall and 2-3 in LSC games ... The Buffs are coming off of a 76-71 loss on the road to No. 15 Tarleton State ... WT has lost three of its last five games.
- David Chavlovich leads WT in scoring at 15.9 points per game while shooting 41.5 percent from the floor and 40.6 percent from three ... Tez Dumars follows at 15.8 points per game ... Antjuan Ball leads the team with 7.6 rebounds per game ... He also averages 12.0 points per game.
