Commerce, Texas – A&M-Commerce Lions (11-6, 4-3 LSC) travel to San Angelo, Texas to face the Angelo State Belles (17-4, 6-1 LSC) for the second time this season.
The Belles took the first match against the Lions this season in a 3-0 sweep late September that ended the Lions four match winning streak. Since then, the Lions have gone 3-2 overall but 2-2 in conference play. As for the Belles, they have went 4-1 in the LSC with their only loss coming against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
The Lions are 6-14 when playing in San Angelo, Texas against the Belles and are currently on a five-match skid. Their last win on the road against the Belles dates back to October 20, 2007. Angelo State has yet to fall in the Junell Center this year posting a perfect 9-0 record at home.
Mallory Blauser and Brianna Sotello both crack the top five in the LSC for the Belles in total kills and kills per set. Other key players for Angelo State consists of Maggi Jo Keffury who is second in the conference in total assist and assist per set, and Katie MacLeay who leads the conference in digs.
