Commerce, Texas – The Lions (11-5, 4-2 LSC) meet the midpoint of their six game road trip with a match against Texas Woman's (13-3, 5-1 LSC) in Denton, Texas.
 
A&M-Commerce has their shortest road trip of the year against one of the best teams in the Lone Star Conference this season. The Lions are 41-33 all-time against Texas Woman's but are currently on a three match losing streak against the Pioneers including the last two matches resulting in sweeps.
 
The Pioneers are currently sitting in first in the LSC with a record of 5-1. Texas Woman's also knocked off the Cameron Aggies and gave them their first blemish of the season. The Pioneers are (6-2) at home and posts a perfect (5-0) record on the road this season. The Pioneers are third in the conference with a hitting percentage of .222 and rank second in opponents hitting percentage at .141. They also have ten sweeps on the season with four of them occurring on their current five match winning streak.
 
Hillary Shaffer leads the team with a hitting percentage of .346 that also ranks second in the LSC. She also leads the team with 49 total blocks. Another standout player for the Pioneers is Makayla Mayfield who has 153 total kills.
