Commerce, Texas – Seven Lions scored in double figures as A&M-Commerce set the school record for points in a game in a 132-83 win over Huston-Tillotson Wednesday night in The Field House.
Turning Point- Leading by seven, 36-29, with 7:03 left in the first half, the Lions mounted a 13-2 run over the next three minutes to take an 18-point lead, 49-31. The Lions never looked back in the school record setting win.
Highlights- A&M-Commerce snapped the 38-year old single-game scoring record by one point with 132 points in the win.
- Seven Lions scored in double figures including all five starters led by
Bryant Crowder's 28 points.
Anthony Adams chipped in 19 points, while
Jeremy Jones tallied 17 points. Freshman
Isaac Asrat added 16 points, and
Ronnie White notched 15 points.
JR Owens and
Craig Fofang scored 12 points and 11 points respectively in the win.
- Crowder was an efficient 13-of-14 in the game to earn his 28 points.
- White and Crowder each recorded a double-double. White hauled in 14 rebounds, while Crowder grabbed 13 boards.
- A&M-Commerce outrebounded Huston-Tilloston 56-29.
- The Lions had 26 assists on 50 made baskets while only turning the basketball over 10 times.

Summary1st Half- The Rams kept the Lions in check early and held a two point lead, 16-14, with 14:02 remaining only to see A&M-Commerce take a five point lead, 21-16, two minutes later. From there, A&M-Commerce never trailed in the game.
- The Lions flipped a two-point lead, 25-23, with 10:38 on the clock into a 49-31 advantaged at the four-minute mark after a 24-8 run.
- A&M-Commerce went into the half, with a 16-point lead, 60-44. The Lions went 65 percent from the floor and allowed the Rams to convert on 46 percent of their shot attempts in the first frame.
2nd Half- The second half was all Lions as A&M-Commerce eventually led by 52 points, 122-70, with four minutes left.
- The Lions buckled down defensively allowing the Rams to shot only 34 percent from the field compared to 58 percent for the Lions in the second half.
Inside the box score- A&M-Commerce broke the school record for points in a single with 132. The previous mark of 131 was set in the 1976-1977 season when the Lions defeated Paul Quinn 131-79. A&M-Commerce has eclipsed the century mark 71 times in the program's history.

De'Andre Carson hit a three pointer with 28 seconds left to lift the Lions over the record.
- Crowder and White provided the Lions with the first double-double in 2015-16. It was also the first time since the Lions traveled to Dallas Baptist on November 22, 2014 that two Lions recorded a double-double in the same game. Against DBU Adams had 20 points and 10 assists, while Fofang had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
- Fofang tied his career-high with 11 points. His five field goals made and six field goal attempts were both personal bests.
What's Next?- A&M-Commerce will have the next nine days off before traveling to Western State on November 27 with tipoff set for 3 p.m. The Lions will turn around and play Colorado Mesa the following day with tipoff at 7:30 p.m..
