Lions Finish Four-Game Home Stand with Southwestern Wednesday

Commerce, Texas – The A&M-Commerce men's basketball team will conclude its four-game home stand with Southwestern College Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in The Field House.

- A&M-Commerce enters the game at 7-2 overall following an 89-88 win over East Central Monday night after Jeremy Jones dropped in a floater with 1.3 seconds left for the game winner.
- The Lions have reeled off four straight wins with three of those coming during the current four-game home stand.
- A&M-Commerce has won all four of its home game coming into Wednesday night's contest.
- Ronnie White currently ranks 10th in the NCAA in offensive rebounds per game at 4.2 per game.

- The Lions opened the 2015-16 campaign with an 81-66 win over Oklahoma Christian before falling to Newman 89-79 in the second game of the season at the Heartland-Lone Star Challenge.
- A&M-Commerce returned seven players from 2014-15 ... Anthony Adams is the team's leading returning scorer after averaging 11.3 ppg and 3.8 assists per game a season ago.
- At 24-5 overall the Lions won 20 games for the first time since 2004-05 ... It's the second time under head coach Sam Walker and the 15th time in program history ... The Lions are currently receiving votes in the final regular season poll.
- A&M-Commerce is coached by Sam Walker in his 16th season at the helm of the Lions program ... Walker is the program's all-time leader in wins with 256.

A&M-Commerce vs. Southwestern:  The Series
- The Lions are 2-1 all-time against Southwestern College ... The Lions won the first meeting between the two programs back in the 1937-38 season 37-16. Moundbuilders won the next meeting 44-36 in 1939-40 before A&M-Commerce took the last meeting in 1954-55, 94-78.
 
About the Moundbuilders
- Southwestern, a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference our of the NAIA, comes into Wednesday's game riding a two-game winning streak after defeating Friends on 74-63 on Tuesday.
- Southwestern defeated Kansas Wesleyan on December 12, 86-78 to start the two-game streak.
- Cameron Clark leads the team in scoring averaging 24.6 points per game while shooting 49.8 percent from the floor and 38.9 percent from three.
- Chris Waller follows averaging 22.3 ppg ... Waller is shooting 57.6 percent from the floor and 41.2 percent from behind the arc ... Waller also averages 7.4 rebounds per game.
- Cameron Clark leads the team on the glass averaging 10.1 rebounds per game.
