No. 15 Rams to Visit the Field House on Senior Day for the Lions

Commerce, Texas – The Lions will host No. 15 Angelo State Wednesday night in the Field House at 7:30 p.m. for anticipated Lone Star Conference showdown on Senior Day.
 
Prior to tipoff, the Lions will honor their four seniors:  Eddie Leal, Darrell Williams, Christian Macauley and LaDon Carnegie.
 
Fast-break Points About A&M-Commerce
- The Lions have won five of their last six games including an 73-69 come-from-behind win over  WT in their last game.
- At 20-6 overall the Lions have won 20 games for the first time since 2004-05 ... It was the second time under head coach Sam Walker and the 15th time in program history.
- The Lions are ranked seventh in the South Central region ... A&M-Commerce has played the 11th toughest schedule
- The Lions were ranked in the NABC Top 25 poll for the 26th time in program history ... Last ranking since No. 25 on Dec. 3, 2013.
Darrell Williams leads the LSC with 17 double-doubles, in scoring 18.1 points per game, rebounds 11.7 rebounds per game -- only player averaging a double-double ... Anthony Adams is second in the LSC In assists at 4.0.
- Williams has grabbed 15 plus rebounds in seven games this season and 20 plus rebounds twice during the year ... He is one of only two NCAA DII players with two 20-rebound games.
- A&M-Commerce fell 104-101 at DBU in OT on November 24 ... The Lions were 50-of-65 from the free throw line ... Both were school records while the 50 makes tied the highest mark in the LSC ... LaDon Carnegie was 18-of-23 for school records in both.
- The Lions are fourth in the NCAA in defensive rebounds, sixth in free throw attempts and in free throws made, 10th in total rebounds and 13th in field goal percentage defense.
-  Williams is ranked third in the NCAA in double-doubles with 17 ... Williams is also fifth in the NCAA in total rebounds, sixth in rebounds per game and ninth in defensive rebounds per game.
- A&M-Commerce had a LSC Player of the Week in each of the first four weeks of the season ... Darrell Williams has won one offensive POTW and two straight defensive POTW awards ... LaDon Carnegie was named offensive of POTW once ... Williams followed with his second offensive player of the week on January 12.
- The Lions are coached by Sam Walker ... Walker is in his 15th season with A&M-Commerce and is the school's all-time winningest coach with an overall of 246-178 ... He has complied a 102-92 record in LSC games.
 
A&M-Commerce vs. Angelo State:  The Series
- The Lions and Rams have met 86 times prior to Saturday's game with A&M-Commerce holding a 44-42 advantage in the series with the teams knotted at 39 wins each in LSC games ... ASU is the fifth most played opponent in program history ... Under head coach Sam Walker the Lions are 13-9.
- The Lions have won four of the last six  and six of the last nine meetings in the series ... However, then No. 8 ASU routed the Lions 79-63 in the first meeting this season.
 
About the No. 15 Rams
-  ASU enters the game at 23-3, 10-2 in LSC games ... Rams are 6-3 in road games and 4-2 in road LSC games ... ASU hast lost two of its last four games including an 81-78 loss at Cameron in their last game ... The Rams are ranked No. 15 in the NCAA.
- Four players average double figures for the Rams led by Demario Mayfield who averages 16.4 points per game while shooting 51 percent from the floor ... He also leads the team with 8.2 rebounds per game.
- The Rams lead the NCAA in FG percentage at 53.4 percent and scoring margin at 24.1 ... They are fourth in the NCAA in field goal percentage defense allowing opponents to shoot just 38.7 percent.
