Commerce, Texas – The Lion volleyball team is heading to Oklahoma this weekend to participate in the South Central Classic.
Coming off of a big win against Dallas Baptist, the Lions are on a two-game winning streak and look to carry that momentum over into this weekend.
Leaders for the Lions consist of sophomore
Layne Little, who leads the Lions (67 kills, 71.5 total points) and
Courtney Tate (218 assists) in the Lions 5-1 offensive set. On defense, freshman
Jaslyn Wacker has 16 blocks, and
Ashley Mireles has recorded 92 digs.
The Lions will face Southern Arkansas on September 11 at 12 p.m. and then East Central at 7 p.m. On September 12, the Lions will finish out the weekend playing Southeastern Oklahoma State University first at 12 pm, followed by Southern Nazarene at 5 p.m. September 11 games will be played at Kerr Activities Center. September 12 games will be played at Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
