Ronnie White delivered a perfect shooting performance lifting A&M-Commerce to a 98-71 win over Arlington Baptist Tuesday night in The Field House to snap a four-game losing streak for the Lions.
Turning Point- After a Patriots triple cut the Lion deficit down to six points, 29-23, the Lions flexed their muscles over final 6:22 of the first half to take a 44-25 lead into the half following a 15-2 run. Six different Lions scored during the stretch highlighted by five points from
JR Owens. The Lions shot 45 percent during the spurt, while clapping down on Arlington Baptist defensively holding the Patriots to a measly 13 percent.
Highlights- White, the Lions second leading scorer, did not miss a shot in the game after going 5-for-5 from the floor and perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw to earn his 13 points. White was also the Lions second leading rebounder with seven boards.

Bryant Crowder led the Lions with 20 points after going 9-for-12 from the floor. Crowder was the Lions leading rebounder with nine rebounds narrowly missing a double-double.

JR Owens and
Jeremy Jones followed with 13 points and 12 points respectively. Jones handed out a game-high five assists.

Anthony Adams tallied nine points and four assists.

Craig Fofang made all of his shots from the floor after going 4-for-4 for eight points, but Fofang could not claim a perfect shooting night after missing his only free throw attempt.
- The Lions shot a sizzling 60 percent from the floor, while limiting the Patriots to 38 percent. Neither team shot well from long-range with Arlington Baptist holding slight 28 percent to 21 percent advantage.
- The Lions controlled the glass 43-35, but 20 of Arlington Baptist's 35 boards came on the offensive end. Both teams turned the ball over 14 times, but the Lions scored 23 points off turnovers compared to only eight for the Patriots.

Summary1st Half- Arlington Baptist stayed close with the Lions for the first five minutes before the Lions used a 7-2 run over the next two and a half minutes to take a 20-9 lead with 12:28 remaining in the half.
- The Patriots attempted to chip away at the margin cutting the deficit down to six points, 29-23, with 6:22 left to play before the Lions mounted their 15-2 run to run out the clock in the first half.
2nd Half- The Lions quickly took the lead out to 21 points, 52-31, two and a half minutes into the second half and led by as many as 31 points, 89-58, at the five-minute mark en route to the 98-71 win.
What's Next?- The Lions return to Lone Star Conference play with a road trip to Tarleton State. The Texans, who are ranked No. 22, in the NABC Poll moved their previously scheduled game on February 22 against Southwestern Adventist to Wednesday at noon in Wisdom Gym.
