Commerce, Texas – The A&M-Commerce men's basketball team avenged an early season loss at Cameron with a wire-to-wire convincing, 94-77, win over the league-leading Cameron Wednesday night in the Field House.
Turning Point- Despite leading by as many 23 points to open the second half, A&M-Commerce allowed Cameron to chip the lead down to a single possession three times before expanding a 61-59 into a 76-66 lead with a 17-9 run over the a six-minute span to regain a double-digit margin with 5:44 left en route to the win.
Highlights-
Bryant Crowder paced the Lions with a game-high 24 points after going 9-of-13 from the floor. Crowder skied for four blocks.

Anthony Adams and
Jeremy Jones follow suit with 18 points. Adams turned in a near perfect shooting performance after going 5-of-5 from the floor including a 3-point field goal make. Adams' lone miss in the game came from the free throw line where he went 7-of-8.

JR Owens turned in nine points including a pair of 3-pointers. Owens led the Lions with six assists.

Everrett Pleasant and
Ronnie White scored nine points each in the win.
Inside the box score- With the win, the Lions improve to 15-6 on the season and pull even at 4-4 in the Lone Star Conference. It also makes the Lions 2-1 against the Lone Star Conference leaders on the season. The lone loss came to then ranked No. 4 Midwestern State, the Lions' upcoming opponent Saturday, February 6 in Wichita Falls.

Summary1st Half- A&M-Commerce controlled the first half save a 4-4 tie two minutes into action. The Lions led by 12 points, 23-11, midway through the half before taking a 21 point lead, 48-27, into the half.
2nd Half- After White converted a layup to open the second frame, the Aggies mounted a 28-6 run over the next 6:24 to trim the Lions lead down to one point, 56-55, with 14:06 remaining.
- The Lions responded three minutes later with their game-changing 17-9 lead over the next six minutes to take control of the game with a 76-66 lead with 5:44 remaining.
- A&M-Commerce extended its lead over the final five minutes to pick up the 94-77 win.
What's Next?- The Lions hit the road for a two-game road trip that starts with No. 6 Midwestern State, who will enter the game at 16-4 overall and 5-3 in the LSC after a 66-65 road loss at Tarleton State Wednesday. The Mustangs are in the midst of a three-game losing streak after reeling off 13 straight wins.
