Lions to Meet No. 11 Mustangs on the Road Saturday

Wichita Falls, Texas – The A&M-Commerce will take on their fourth ranked opponent of the season and third on the road when the Lions travel to No. 6 ranked Midwestern State Saturday with tipoff at 6 p.m.

- A&M-Commerce enters the game at 15-6 overall and 4-4 in the LSC following at 94-77 win over league-leading Cameron Wednesday ... The Lions are in the midst of a three-game winning streak after No. 22 Tarleton State and Arlington Baptist.
- The win over then ranked No. 22 Tarleton State marked the first time in program history the Lions have knocked off two ranked teams on their home courts ... A&M-Commerce defeated then ranked No. 4 Angelo State 93-88 on January 9.
- The Lions had a  nine-game winning streak that was the longest since a nine-game streak in 2004-05.
- A&M-Commerce has sevens wins over top 25 teams in the last three years after knocking off No. 4 Angelo State and No. 22 Tarleton State.
- The Lions defeated Southwestern College 111-60 marking the program's 10th 50-point margin of victory ... It was the 11th highest margin of victory in the NCAA DII on the season ... The last time A&M-Commerce won by 50 or more points was in 2005-06 when the Lions defeated Paul Quinn by 51 points, 104-53 ... The largest margin of victory for the Lions came in 1986-87 when then East Texas topped Southwestern Assemblies of God by 70 points, 128-58.
- A&M-Commerce is 8-3 in The Field House.
- Anthony Adams was named the LSC Offensive Player of the Week on January 16 highlighted by a 27-point game in the Lions 85-79 win over Harding on December 10..
- The Lions had a record breaking 132-83 win over Huston-Tilloston ... The Lions set the school record for points in single-game in the win.
- White and Pleasant lead the team-high with three double-doubles, Bryant Crowder has two double-doubles and Craig Fofang has one double-double ... Pleasant picked up a double-double in the Lions loss to MIdwestern State.
- A&M-Commerce is coached by Sam Walker in his 16th season at the helm of the Lions program ... Walker is the program's all-time leader in wins with 264.

A&M-Commerce vs. Midwestern State:  The Series
- The Lions and Mustangs have met 55 times prior to Saturday night's meeting with Midwestern State holding a 52-33 advantage in the series.
- Midwestern State has won 17 of the last 18 games with the lone Lion win, 74-66, coming at home in Commerce on January 9, 2014 ... The Mustangs won both meetings in 2014-15 and the first game of the 2015-16 season 84-69 in Commerce.
- Under head coach Sam Walker, the Lions are 5-22 against the Mustangs.
 
About the No. 11 Mustangs
- Midwestern State enters the game at 16-4 overall and 5-2 in the LSC while on a three-game losing streak after suffering a 66-65 loss at Tarleton State.
- Jordan Stevens leads the team in scoring with 15.2 points per game, while Khapri Alston follows averaging 13.5 points per game ... Breston McNeal chips in with 13.0 points per game
- Khapri leads the team in rebounding with 10.1 rebounds per game ... He is the lone LSC averaging a double-double.
