HEAD COACH NEIL PIPER AFTER THE GAME
"It was just one of those games. There were three scrappy goals. We gave up three set-piece goals. I can't believe it. I'm disappointed but not upset. Lubbock deserved to win thoroughly. They were on top of us from the get go and we just could not get anything going. When you are working hard and hustling, every bounce seems to go your way. And they were getting every bounce. It was like playing uphill all game."

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Amber Crews (Lewisville) scored a goal in the final seconds of the game for the Lions' only marker of the game. Leslie Campuzano (Garland – Lakeview Centennial) assisted on the goal.
- Lubbock Christian outshot the Lions 19-10.
- Jen Peters (Allen) made six saves in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions had control of the game with early possession and the game's opening shot, but the Lady Chaps opened the scoring in the 13th minute when Gabby Gomez pounded home the rebound after Haley Knesek's header hit the post.

LCU extended the lead in the 22nd minute when Maddie Hoel found the back of the net off of a wide shot by Hollie Windham and a Knesek re-directed header.

The Lions fired off two more shots in the half, but the visitors took a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.

A&M-Commerce had the first shot of the second half before a flurry of six LCU shots. Knesek extended the lead to 3-0 for the guests in the 58th minute on a header after a Victoria Ramirez lofted header.

The Lions put elevated pressure on the Lady Chaps as the second half progressed, but the LCU keeper made late saves until Crews fired home the Lion goal on Campuzano's corner in the final seconds of the match.
