COMMERCE – The Texas A&M University-Commerce women's basketball team has won five games in a row and climbed three spots in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) poll to rank No. 7. The Lions also jumped a spot to No. 3 in the Division II Sports Information Directors Association (D2SIDA) poll and also received a first place vote.
A&M-Commerce picked up a 69-58 win at Oklahoma Christian last week and is 18-2 on the season. The Lions are second in the Lone Star Conference standings with a record of 7-2. A&M-Commerce is also ranked as the top team in the D2SIDA South Central Region rankings.
The Lions are third in the country in free throws made (372), ninth in offensive rebounding (17.8), third in rebound margin (11.1), fourth in rebounding (45.5), and scoring offense (81.0).

The Lions remain on the road this week to take on LSC-leading Cameron on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and at UT Tyler on Saturday at 2 p.m.
