FRISCO – East Texas A&M University women's basketball forward
Tiani Ellison has been named to the all-Southland Conference second team on Friday afternoon.
Ellison (Durant, Okla.) is the first all-conference honoree for the Lions since the 2023-24 season. She is the third Lion to be named to second team all-conference in the Division I era.
During the 2025-26 season, Ellison averaged 16.3 points per game against Southland opponents, which is third in the conference through the regular season. She also averaged 7.6 rebounds, which is fifth and shot 48.6 percent from the field, ranking seventh.
Ellison posted four double doubles against Southland opponents and helped the Lions advance to the postseason for the first time in two seasons.
The Lions begin the Southland Tournament on Monday at 11 a.m. against fifth-seed Northwestern State in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
