COMMERCE – The Texas A&M University-Commerce softball team was shutout in Friday's doubleheader by Southeastern Louisiana, 14-0 and 17-0, respectively, at the John Cain Family Field. Both games lasted five innings each.
GAME 1: SOUTHEASTERN 14, A&M-COMMERCE 0 (Five Innings)
Southeastern scored in all five innings in the first game, leading 1-0 after one, and added three in the second, fourth in the third, two in the fourth, and four in the fifth.
Chloe Magee went 2 for 2, while Lexi Johnson went 4 for 4 with three RBIs, which included a three-run home run, and Audrey Greely went 2 for 2 with two RBIs.
Eleven batters recorded a hit for the Lady Lions, who totaled 16 hits. Cera Blanchard pitched three innings, allowing one hit and striking out four for the win and moves to 8-1.

Tatum Wright, and
Ashlynn Griffith had one hit each in the game for the Lions.
Anissa Arredondo (San Antonio – Warren) got the loss, allowing four earned runs in one inning pitched.
GAME 2: SOUTHEASTERN 17, A&M-COMMERCE 0 (Five Innings)
The Lady Lions put two runs on the board in the first inning of game two and three in the second. After a scoreless third, which was the only inning on Friday that SLU did not score in, the Lady Lions plated eight in the fourth and four in the fifth.
Ka'Lyn Watson scored three runs and drove in four, which included a three-run home run. Magee went 2 for 4, scoring two runs as well, while Maria Detillier drove in three on two hits. Johnson went 2 for 3 as well. SLU used three pitchers with Ellie DuBois getting the win. She struck out three in three innings.
A&M-Commerce committed nine errors in the game, which is a new program record.
The Lions had just one hit in the game, which was a base hit by Griffith.
Maddie Muller (Frisco – Centennial) was charged with seven earned runs in three innings and got the loss.
A&M-Commerce drops to 5-24 on the season and 0-5 in Southland Conference play, while SLU is 20-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play. The Lions' current losing streak of 16 is now the longest in program history.
