FORT WORTH – The East Texas A&M University women's cross country team took 22
nd place at the Old Glory Gallop on Saturday morning on the AP Ranch, hosted by Dallas Baptist.
The top finisher for the Lions was
Mareva Heck (Marseille, France), who timed 19:13.37 for 81
st in the five-kilometer race, while
Edith Martinez (Sulphur Springs) clocked in at 19:20.12 for 92
nd,
Aamarie Ebarb (Weslaco) timed 20:22.89 for 155
th, and
Haleigh Risner (Winnsboro) recorded a time of 20:47.21 for 182
nd.
Hannah Stuart (Canyon) was 238
th with a time of 21:58.51, followed by
Evelyn Cortes (Miami Beach, Fla.) in 338
th with a time of 28:37.11. Texas State's Alexia Macias won the 340-women race with a time of 17:17.57.
On the team leaderboard, Simon Fraser totaled 108 points to win the meet, while Midwestern State was in second with 116 points. The Lions posted 636 points, 19 ahead of Texas A&M International. Full results of the meet can be found
