LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Linnea Olsson and
Marie Baertz finished in the top 30 for the East Texas A&M University women's golf team, who took 17
th at the Diamante Intercollegiate this week at the Diamante Country Club.
Olsson (Beddingestrand, Sweden) climbed 31 spots in the standings, shooting a 67 on Tuesday to tie for 19
th place with a score of 217 (78-72-67), while Baertz (Luxembourg) tied for 25
th place with a score of 218 (71-72-75) and had a hole-in-one in the 12
th hole. Boston College's Frances Kim won the individual medal by two strokes over Tilly Garfoot from Memphis.
Boston College also won the team title with a score of 836. Seattle finished as the runner up with a score of 854. The Lions' team score of 901 was three back of HCU and 47 strokes better than SFA.
Becky Baberg (Asendorf, Germany) took 90
th with a score of 233 (76-77-80),
Tais Moreno (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) tied for 91
st place with a score of 234 (78-78-78), and
Gimena Errecart (Mar Del Plata, Argentina) tied for 97
th with a score of 238 (78-81-79).
Competing as an individual this week,
Marie Naeher (Neuenbuerg, Germany) tied for 73
rd with a score of 227 (74-74-79).
