TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – Playing in front of a crowd of 65,430 at the historic Doak Campbell Stadium, the East Texas A&M University football team fell 77-3 to the No. 14/19 ranked Florida State Seminoles on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions played back-to-back nationally FBS opponents in the ACC and are now 0-2 on the season, while Florida State improves to 2-0, having won over No. 8 Alabama and now East Texas A&M.
The Seminoles scored the first 70 points of the game, leading 21-0 at the end of the first, 49-0 at the half, and 70-0 entering the third.
The lone Lion points of the day came on a 21-yard field goal kick to cap off a seven-play, 49-yard drive from
Ozlo Rigby (Panama City, Fla.). FSU outgained the Lions, 729-197.
