Lion Volleyball adds two mid-year transfers

COMMERCE – East Texas A&M University volleyball coach Joe Morales has announced the signings of two mid-year transfers for the 2026 season.

The newcomers, who have both joined East Texas A&M this spring, will compete for the Lions during the 2026 season. Skylar Lambert, a opposite hitter from Aledo, comes in from East Central and Lily Davidson, an outside hitter from Rutland, Massachusetts, transferring in from Southern Utah.

Take a detailed look at the two newest members of the Lion Volleyball program below. Under the guidance of fourth year coach Joe Morales.

LILY DAVIDSON
OH • 6-4
Rutland, Mass. • Wachusett Regional High School • Southern Utah
Comes to East Texas A&M with four years of eligibility remaining … Spent the 2025 season at Southern Utah … Three-time letter winner for coach Jennifer Burton at Wachusett Regional High School … Played club volleyball for CMASS Edge

WHY EAST TEXAS A&M? "I chose East Texas A&M because I have family close by and believe that it is the best option for me volleyball wise because the coach is great and is really focused on helping you develop."

COACH MORALES' THOUGHTS: We are excited about Lily joining our team this spring. She will give us versatility to play either pin (outside or right side). She will have an offensive presence on the court. However, her blocking is also a big contributor. We are looking forward to her spring season."

SKYLAR LAMBERT
OH • 6-1
Aledo, Texas • Aledo High School • East Central
Arrives to East Texas A&M with two years of eligibility remaining … Appeared in 15 matches over two seasons at East Central … Team Captain at Aledo High School … All-county honorable mention

WHY EAST TEXAS A&M? "I chose East Texas A&M because as soon as I stepped on campus it just felt like home. Everyone was so welcoming and made me truly feel seen and appreciated. The coaching staff is incredible and it also closer to home."

COACH MORALES' THOUGHTS: "We are thrilled about Skylar joining our program. She will give us value on the opposite side. She has experience in the middle which will elevate her blocking in her position. She also fits right in with our culture, and we can't wait to get started with her. She will give us the capability to run a 6-2 when needed!"
