COMMERCE – The East Texas A&M University soccer team has announced the addition of
Andrea Casella to the coaching staff going into the fall 2026 season.
Casella arrives in Commerce following a stint with the US Women's Youth National Team in Atlanta. He assisted in training sessions for technical and tactical review as performance analyst.

Andrea Casella to our staff. Andrea brings a wealth of experience across the club, collegiate, and U.S. Women's Youth National Team levels," said head coach
Ashley Gordon.
"His deep knowledge of the game, combined with his ability to scout, recruit, and effectively communicate, will immediately enhance our program. Andrea's expertise in performance analysis and detailed feedback will be paramount to our continued growth and competitive success."
He also served as the girls academy head coach for the HTX Soccer Club in Houston. He was also the college strategist, supporting players through the college recruitment process.
Casella's most recent stint with a collegiate program came in 2023 at Houston as an assistant coach/analyst. He assisted with film analysis.
"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join East Texas A&M and excited to work alongside coach Gordon. I look forward to developing our student-athletes, contributing to a culture of excellence both on and off the field, and helping position the program for sustained success," said Casella.
Casella's coaching career began with the Real Colorado Soccer Club, serving as ECNL coach in both Houston and Colorado. He holds a USSF National 'B' license.
A native of Italy, Casella played soccer for nearly 20 years throughout Italy before entering the coaching ranks.
