2016 (Outdoor): Appeared in five meets, competing in the shot put, hammer throw and discus… Threw a personal best of 47.67m in the discus at the UT Arlington Bobby Lane Invitational (3/26), placing sixth… Outdoor best 14.30m in the shot put at the East Texas Invitational (4/16), finishing fifth… Also finished second in the discus at the same meet… Set a career best of 52.23m in the hammer throw at the East Texas Invitational, placing fourth… Placed fifth in the discus, ninth in the shot put and 11th in the hammer throw at the LSC Championships (5/5).

2016 (Indoor): Appeared in four meets, competing in the shot put and the weight throw… Set a personal best shot put throw of 14.51m at the Gorilla Classic (2/12), placing 15th… Set a personal best weight throw of 15.73m at LSC Championships (2/20), placing seventh. 

2015 (Outdoor): Appeared in seven meets for the Lions, competing in the shot put, discus and hammer throw ... Accrued three top-five finishes over the course of the season, all coming in the discus throw ... Hit a season best in the discus at the ASU David Noble Relays with a throw of 47.57m, finishing fifth ... Hit a season best in the shot put at the East Texas Invite with a lob of 13.11m, finishing 13th ... Achieved a season best in the hammer throw at the LSC Championships with a toss of 45.66m, finishing tenth.

2015 (Indoor): Appeared in two meets for the Lions, competing in the shot put and weight throw ... Finished ninth at the UCO Invitational in the weight throw with a season best mark of 11.96m ... Hit a season best in the shot put at the MSU Lion Open with a lob of 12.72m.

Prior to A&M-Commerce: Two-year letter winner at Oakhurst ... First Team All-District in 2013 ... Also competed in football in high school ... Regional discus champion in 2012 and 2013. 

Personal: Jared is also an offensive lineman on the A&M-Commerce football team.
