For the fifth consecutive season, Texas A&M University-Commerce is headed to the NCAA Division II Playoffs. 
The Lions have officially received an NCAA Division II Playoff bid, and will head to Tarleton for a rematch of the regular season matchup. This is the second consecutive year these two schools will meet in the playoffs.

This is your one stop information source for all things related to the Lions’ 2019 NCAA playoff berth.  This will provide as much initial clarity as possible, and will be updated with information as the week progresses as more specific communication from NCAA representatives and Tarleton becomes available.
 
How do the playoffs work?
The NCAA Division II Football Committee announced the field of 28 teams for the 2019 NCAA Division II Football Championship with seven teams filling out each of the Super Region brackets. 12 first-round games will be conducted on the campus of the higher seeded institution in each region. In addition, one team per super regional has earned a first-round bye. 

The first-round winners will all advance to the second round with games on the campus of the higher seeded competing institutions. Second-round winners will meet in the quarterfinals at various campus sites. Quarterfinal winners will advance to play in the semifinals on the campus of the higher seeded competing institutions.   The championship game will be played December 21, at 2 p.m. at the new McKinney ISD Stadium in McKinney and will be broadcast live on ESPNU HD/ESPN3.
 
Who else is in our region?
The No. 1 seed in Super Region IV is Minnesota State. The Mavericks will have a bye in the first round. The other two first-round matchups are:
 
- Sioux Falls at Colorado School of Mines (No. 3)
- Augustana at Colorado State-Pueblo (No. 4)

With its main campus in Stephenville, an hour southwest of Fort Worth, Tarleton State University offers the value of a Texas A&M University System degree with its own brand of personal attention, individual opportunities, history, tradition and community. Tarleton is a vibrant learning community with nearly 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as a doctorate in education, within seven colleges. This is Tarleton's final season in Division II, as the Texans recently announced a move to Division I and the Western Athletic Conference.

The Texans have an 11-0 overall record, including 5-0 in Stephenville. The Texans won this season's first meeting 35-21 in Stephenville.

TICKETS

How much are tickets?

Tickets will be $15 for reserved seats and $10 for general admission for adults  ages 19+. General admission for students/youth is $5 and general admission for children under 7 is free. Senior/Military/Faculty/Staff general admission is $5. All regular season parking passes are valid for the postseason. Playoff individual reserved seats and general admission tickets can be purchased online at TarletonSports.com/Tickets.

BROADCAST INFORMATION
I cannot make the game, will it be on TV? 
YES - Live streaming will be available for FREE HERE.
 
Will the game be on radio?
Yes.  The Lion Sports Radio Network – 89.9 KETR - will broadcast the game with Charlie Chitwood (Play-by-Play) and Brock Callaway (Color) on the call.  Pre-game begins 30 minutes prior to kickoff.  Lions Roar Weekly Radio Show will air one hour prior to kickoff. You can stream the broadcast at www.KETR.org.

TAILGATING

The A&M-Commerce Alumni Association tailgate will be located on the South End of Memorial Stadium off of Sloan Street from 10 a.m.-1 p.m, see map below.  Keep your eyes out for our Alumni Association blue tents!

What time do gates open?
Ticket offices open at 9 a.m on gameday, with gates opening at 11 a.m.
