Drew Zaubi joined the East Texas A&M football staff in Spring 2026 as the Lions' quarterbacks coach.
Zaubi came to Commerce after spending three seasons at Missouri State, where he served as assistant wide receivers coach while playing an integral role in the Bears' offensive operations.
His responsibilities included offensive game planning, opponent scouting, recruiting, practice organization, coordinating offensive operations, and serving as the on-field wide receivers coach during games.
During his time at Missouri State, the Bears consistently ranked among the nation's top passing offenses, totaling more than 3,300 passing yards in each of his three seasons. He helped develop multiple All-America and all-conference wide receivers, including AP Second Team All-American and First Team All-MVFC selection Raylen Sharpe, Phil Steele Freshman All-American Jmariyae Robinson, Second Team All-MVFC honoree Hunter Wood, and All-Freshman selection Tristian Gardner.
Zaubi previously served as a graduate assistant working with the quarterbacks at East Texas A&M during the summer of 2023, assisting with quarterback development, playbook creation, film breakdown, and practice coordination.
Prior to returning to Commerce, Zaubi coached wide receivers and offensive skill positions at Dodge City Community College, where he oversaw offensive skill meetings, assisted with recruiting, coordinated equipment operations, and contributed to offensive game planning.
Zaubi played collegiately at the Louisville, Reedley College, Western Kentucky, and Tiffin before beginning his coaching career. He earned a bachelor of arts in communications with a minor in Sales from Western Kentucky and later received a master's certificate in business with an emphasis in sports management from Tiffin.
