Greg Castro joined the Lion coaching staff to start the 2017 season. He works in recruiting operations for defense and also assists with the linebackers.
Prior to A&M-Commerce, Castro helped coach football at the University of the Incarnate Word during the 2014 season. He played collegiately at West Texas A&M from 2010-2012.
As a former player at Tom C. Clark High School in San Antonio, Castro was named First Team All-State, All-Area, and District MVP during his junior and senior seasons. He played defensive line and linebacker and helped the Cougars make their first semi-final appearance in school history, going 13-2 his junior year.
Castro graduated from UIW with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and is currently pursuing his master’s in Exercise Science at A&M-Commerce.
