McWilliams is in his second year as the Director of Football Strength and Conditioning. He arrived to East Texas A&M after most recently serving as a tactical strength coach for the US Army. Prior to that, he was the Associate Director of Athletic Performance at Marshall, programming all aspects of a year-round strength and conditioning department for the Thundering Herd. He was the direct contact for baseball, softball, and track & field.

He was also an intern with the strength and conditioning department at Georgia, working with the football team, and assisted in implementing COVID-19 safety protocols during all training sessions. He has also served as a volunteer assistant at Alabama, working directly with the running backs, wide receivers, and defensive backs, as well as the cheerleading program.

McWilliams was the Assistant Director of Sports Performance for nearly four years at New Mexico. He assisted in all aspects of the strength and conditioning program for the football program, while working directly with the baseball program, and designed strength programs for injured football players before and after surgery.

He played football at Valdosta State and served as an intern in the strength and conditioning department when not playing, working with the volleyball and women’s basketball programs.
