Moriarty arrived to East Texas A&M in March 2024 after spending the previous season as the defensive line coach and run game coordinator at Cumberland. The Phoenix was second in the Mid-South Conference in rush defense and fourth in sacks.
He has also served as the assistant coach at North Alabama, Drake, and Samford, all on the defensive side. Moriarty also served as the special teams quality control assistant for Northern Illinois and a defensive line graduate assistant at Central Michigan.
Prior to CMU, Moriarty was the defensive line coach at College of DuPage and defensive tackles coach at Louisiana Christian.
Moriarty played collegiately at Harper Junior College located in Palatine, Illinois, as an offensive and defensive lineman. He was a member of the 2008 NJCAA national championship team. He finished his collegiate playing career at Elmhurst College.
A native of Naperville, Illinois, Moriarty graduated from Elmhurst College in 2014 with a degree in communications.
