Jeff Posival enters his six season as an assistant coach on the Texas A&M University-Commerce staff, bringing with him over 25 years of coaching experience. 

The Lions have qualified for the NCAA Tournament in four of the five seasons Posival has been on the staff, including two times making the round of 16. Four players have been named All-Americans, including Vicky Back, who was the first A&M-Commerce player in history to be named a First Team All-American.
 
During the 2016 season, the Lions went 15-6-1 and won the regular season LSC Championship. They qualified for the NCAA Division II Tournament and advanced into the Sweet 16. In 2015 the team finished the year 13-6-2 and was the LSC postseason Tournament Champions. During the 2014 season, the team finished 16-5-1 and won the regular season and postseason championships and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. In the 2013 season, the team finished 11-6-2 and were semifinalists in the LSC tournament and qualified for the NCAA Tournament first round.

Prior to his time at A&M-Commerce, Posival spent over 20 years in the DFW Metroplex coaching players ranging from Under 6 Recreational – U19 Club Soccer. Under his guidance, Coach Posival’s teams have successfully competed in the top leagues in the area and have won multiple league and tournament championships.

In addition to his normal coaching duties, Coach Posival has also served as Goalkeeping Coach and was a co-founder for the Destiny Soccer Club. Furthermore, Coach Posival has also coordinated multiple travel summer camps and college scrimmage sessions for his club teams. During his time in club soccer, Posival spent time with the Destiny Soccer Club, DFW Tejanos, Xcelex Soccer Club, and Fort Worth FC.

Posival currently hold his “D” License from the North Texas State Soccer Association as well as his “National Diploma” from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management and his Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford University.

Coach Posival is a Dallas area native. He is married to the former Karen Durham and they have three children; Lindsey, Michael, and Trevor.
