Had 20 or more assists in six matches ... Averaged 6.34 assists per set ... Had five double-doubles ... Season-high of 13 digs came at Texas Woman's (2/24) ... Recorded nine kills against UT Tyler (3/03) ... Had three blocks each against UT Tyler on 2/09 and 2/10

2019: Second Team All-LSC... Two-time LSC Setter of the Week... Played in 23 matches and 84 sets as a sophomore... Recorded 595 assists, 174 digs and 37 kills... Averaged more than seven assists per set... Also had 30 aces on the year, finishing third in the LSC in aces per set... Had 10 or more assists in all 23 of her matches, with 17 matches with at least 20 assists and five with at least 30 assists... Had a career-high 44 assists to go along with 17 digs against TWU (11/21)... Had five double-doubles and one triple double on the year... Had a triple double against Arkansas-Fort Smith (12/5), recording 14 kills, 30 assists and 17 digs... Was a member of the 2019 LSC Divisional Championship team and NCAA Tournament team.

2018: LSC Freshman of the Year... Honorable Mention All-LSC... Two-time LSC Setter of the Week... Played in all 36 matches and 139 sets as a true freshman... Finished the season with nine triple-doubles, which was the fourth most in all of Division II and the most by any freshman, averaging 9.3 kills, 17.9 assists and 8.5 digs per match during the season... Had 22 double-doubles on the year... Finished season with 333 kills and a .210 hitting percentage... Also had 643 assists, averaging 4.63 per set... Also had 307 digs... Had a triple-double with a season-high 16 kills to go with 24 assists and 11 digs against Dallas Baptist (9/18)... Had a triple-double against West Texas A&M (10/5), setting season highs for assists (34) and digs (20) to go with 10 kills... Had 20 or more assists in 14 different matches... Averaged a triple-double in the LSC Tournament and had one in the championship match against Tarleton (11/10)... Also had a triple-double in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Angelo State (11/15)... Was part of the LSC Tournament Championship team that advanced to the Regional Championship match.

Prior to A&M-Commerce: Letter winner at Technológico de Monterrey in volleyball... Won first place at the National Olympics playing for Jalisco... Was a member of the National Under 18 Team three years as a setter.... Was selected All-State all four years in high school.
 
Personal: Daughter of Lilia Jimenez and Celestino Vela ... Majoring in industrial engineering and minoring in computer science

What has been the highlight of your A&M-Commerce athletic career thus far? "The highlight of my A&M-Commerce athletic career thus far has been winning the conference's setter of the year award and being named an All-American in 2021."
