Texas A&M University-Commerce volleyball coach Craig Case announced the appointment of Jasmine Koonts as an assistant coach of the Lion volleyball program in March 2022.Â

In her playing career, Koonts played at power-five conference teams as a middle blocker at both Arizona State and Ohio State. After graduating from Ohio State, where she also served as a creative services intern for the athletic department, she was a graduate assistant at Southern Miss, working with the Golden Eagles, who had a six-win improvement in her first year on the staff.
Â
Koonts’ volleyball coaching experience includes being the head coach for the TCA Volleyball club in Columbus, Ohio, for one season, working with players aged 16 and 17. She has also worked as a volleyball camp counselor, providing one-on-one instruction on specific position training and player development for ages 9-18.
Â
She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Sport Industry from Ohio State and is progressing towards her Master’s of Science in Sport Management from Southern Miss, which she will complete this coming fall.
