The Burleson eleven defeated the E.T.S.N.C. men by the score of two to nothing at the fair grounds in Greenville Friday afternoone. The game was featured by the punts of each eleven. Burleson's two points were made about the middle of the third quarter. Johnson, Burleson's full back, punted the ball from his thirty-five yard line to Green, who attempted to catch it about two feet from E.T.'s goal. Green was laboring under the impression that he was standing behind the goal; the goal line. Had Green been behind the goal line and then fallen on the ball the would have had a touch-back. The referee declared the ball dead thereby giving Burleson a safety. Johnson and Dirson were the outstanding stars for Burleson. Green, Morgan, Blevins and Hart played a fine brand of ball for E.T. Time of quarters twelve and one-half minutes.
