FRISCO – East Texas A&M University football player
Ozlo Rigby has been named the Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday morning after guiding the Lions to victory on homecoming weekend.
Rigby (Panama City, Fla.) has been named a player of the week for the first time in his Lion career and is the first East Texas A&M honoree this season.
He sailed a 51-yard game-winning field goal right through the uprights last Saturday to give the Lions a 20-17 win over UTRGV. He was 2 for 2 in field goal attempts in the game, also drilling a kick from 36 yards earlier in the second half and went 2 for 2 in point-after attempts, accounting for eight points in the game.
The game-winning kick made by Rigby is tied for the fifth-longest field goal made in program history as well as being tied for the 13
